My favorite thing about this time of year is the continuous play of horror movies on cable stations.
In no particular order, here are my top 10. How do yours compare?
1. 30 Days of Night.
2. Night of the Living Dead.

4. Friday the 13th.
5. Nightmare on Elm Street.
6. Dracula Has Risen from the Grave.

8. The Wolf Man (original).

And I agree 30 Days Of Night should be on the list but I didn’t want to duplicate. The reviews I’ve read about the sequel were not favorable though…

Great list! I would add three other films that still give me the chills: The Exorcist, The Omen (original version with Gregory Peck) and The Shining. I know The Shining was never a critical hit but it had some really chilling moments, such as when the twin girls suddenly appear in the hallway as Danny Torrence chases a ball. They don’t make movies like they used to!
